Languages – that’s my thing. I’m fascinated by their sounds, their origins, the different shades of meaning of individual words, the ways of life of the people speaking them, their history and culture…

I was born in Moscow, Russia. Apart from my native tongue, which is Russian, I am at the level of a native speaker in English and German, having spent a considerable amount of time both in the UK and Germany.

Besides languages, it was my natural curiosity, the pleasure I get from working with people, but also the wish to constantly broaden my horizons and improve my knowledge, skills and myself as a person, that has allowed me to turn my great hobby into a profession that I love.

A language must be treated with respect and cherished the way a craftsman cherishes his tools, an artist – his brushes, a chef – his knives… One must take good care of a language by paying due respect to its correct use, at the same time embracing new trends and broadening one’s vocabulary.”
